Emotions and Feelings – 2 and Trauma

Unprocessed feelings create a dangerous world of their own. Inside dwell the demons pressed flat, ready to pop up in moments not expected, destroying the ground we stand upon or the strings of connection with other humans.

Trauma: Psychological trauma is damage to the mind that occurs as a result of a distressing event. Trauma is often the result of an overwhelming amount of stress that exceeds one’s ability to cope, or integrate the emotions involved with that experience. Courtesy Wikipedia.

May we know and bring into our Awareness that Emotional trauma cannot be rated. The degrees of pain varies and unique to each given individual. For a 6-month-old baby separation from a caregiver could be traumatizing, still well embedded into adulthood too. For a teenager, a break-up could be trauma, a loss of job and so on.

The above is a guidance towards understanding emotions. A person acting out of Trauma mostly does it unpredictably. A careful observation of the self will help understand more.

From a psychological viewpoint and having worked on deep trauma, I with all assertion state that for all utility and harmony, processing them Emotions, Feelings, and Trauma has to be done as a elaborate Ground work with the support of the Yogic advice and adopting Hicks’style.

Now, look at the spiral on the left, the upward moving, observe how the frequency is labeled with measures ascending upwards, in simple language, emotions and feelings, like Enthusiasm, Joy keep us as close, or closest to our true nature, that which is our original Authentic self, where as emotions that charge us negative like Jealousy featured on the right side on the image is draining, disassociating us from our true nature taking us further down… space of dark, gloom, uncertainty. But wait, this space is the unopened treasure box, waiting to be discovered.
